Asparagus
Asparagus
Lovingly dubbed the “King of Vegetables”, asparagus features brilliant crowns from which the entire vegetable grows underground. Although asparagus can be eaten raw, it is often enhanced with butter or oil. A healthier alternative is to steam it with other veggies and make a paste from the veggies along with other spices. When choosing asparagus from grocery selections, be cautious to avoid any asparagus stalks that are not taut or are discolored. The many benefits of asparagus include its rich deposit of Vitamin B, Vitamin C, iron, and calcium.
