Shanmukh

Graphic Design

Shanmukh Chebrolu is a current Junior at Metea Valley High School. He is pursuing his passion of discovering his interests. Over the past 2 years, Shanmukh dedicated his time to become an active member of the community by assisting customers at Nicholas Library and helping young elementary students transition into middle school through the Web leaders program. Alongside community service, he has received The President's Education Award for educational excellence and multiple regional-level achievements in Science Olympiad. Due to his diverse interests, he is currently a 3 year member of Track and Field and also involved in Aikido, Robotics, Peer tutor and various other activities. Outside of school, he is a member of Teen Advisory Board at Aurora Public Library, math tutor, and volunteer at the Nicholas Library. Some of Shanmukh's hobbies include fishing, running, playing ping pong and spending time with family. He is also an avid reader who resorts to reading books during his free time. Even though not fluent, he can also speak 4 different languages to connect to unique people. From childhood, Shanmukh grew up poor and understands the struggles of hunger and inability to afford luxury. As a graphic design intern with Obama Legacy Initiative, Shanmukh is striving to spread awareness about food insecurity though OLI's mission.
