We honor the legacy of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama by continuing their White House initiatives including urban gardens and eliminating food scarcity as well as community education.
IN HONOR OF THE OBAMAS
02
GARDENS AND FOOD SECURITY
OLI seeks to produce, collect, and deliver fresh produce to food pantries, through the OLI Garden, community gardens, and getting individuals to grow and donate excess produce from their own gardens.
03
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
OLI seeks to provide a curriculum of training (in-person, video, etc) that teaches our community to eat healthy, grow food, preserve fresh food, cook fresh food, and make healthy meals with food pantry ingredients.
"True democracy is a project that’s much bigger than any one of us. It’s bigger than any one person, any one president, and any one government. It’s a job for all of us."
President Barack Obama, 2017
