About the event

 The Obama Legacy Initiative is hosting, "FOOD PANTRIES...THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE." This is a forum designed for the purpose of disseminating information about the future of America's food pantries and their supporting networks. Guest speakers include members or representatives of the United States Congress, United States Department of Agriculture, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, registered dietitians, master gardeners and food pantry directors.

We welcome food pantry workers, volunteers and public supporters. The food pantry experience, unknown to many, but a lifeline for over 40,000,000 Americans is truly the last line of defense! The Obama Legacy Initiative has made it our mission to provide support to the food pantries of America. Come! Learn more about the unsung heroes who volunteer, staff and manage the many pantries in the western suburbs.  Please consider joining the OLI and help us help others!  Timeline: Check-in at 3:30 pm Seminar at 4:00 pm  Reception at 6:30 pm  Guest Speakers: Congressman Bill Foster
