What is OLI's mission?
Our mission is: “Creating sustainable solutions that eliminate food insecurity ​within our communities”
How many people has OLI helped?
The exact number of people that OLI has helped is unknown! OLI donates fresh produce to food pantries and the Pantries disseminates the food to their clients. Over the last two years, we have donated over 900 lbs of vegetables. We are in the process of educating the public on how to grow their own foods and provide healthy eating information.
In what specific ways does OLI contribute to fighting food scarcity in our community?
Through the education of youth and community members on healthy food choices and gardening, the distribution of raised garden beds, and the donation of healthy produce to local food pantries.
